quality education- making the connections
Partners in the Coalition believes every child deserves the right to a bright and successful future. For children to succeed, communities need to provide a continuum of high-quality programs and services, along with supports for their family from cradle to career.
To make sure that exists in southern Illinois, Coalition partners have taken important first steps by working together, assessing and connecting resources, identifying service gaps in services, and creating a sustainable infrastructure .

Over the years, research has clearly demonstrated that high-quality, developmentally appropriate early childhood programs produce short- and long-term positive effects on children's cognitive and social development. Connecting and enrolling children to high quality early learning opportunities, connecting programs and teachers to resources that help them provide high quality programs, and connecting and coordinating community resources and information are key strategies undertaken by Coalition members to promote early learning and school readiness.
