HEALTHY CHILDREN
Good health is one of the foundational building blocks necessary for a child’s success. Parents have the primary, long-term responsibility for their children's health. It is critical for them to be as informed and involved as possible in the health care process. Communities have an important role as well, ensuring available and accessible resources that support children’s health and development.
CHILDren's health PIPELINE
Partners in the Coalition are working together to coordinate and promote a comprehensive pipeline of health services and programs in six key areas of children's health, as listed below. The ultimate goal is to promote the optimal health and development of young children in the region, building a strong foundation for a his/her success in school and life. While current activities are focusing mostly on child development, future efforts will expand to include the other areas. Planning in each area will include asset mapping to insure maximizing, leveraging and promoting access to local resources.
