Consortium for resilient young children

Goal: Promote social and emotional resilience in children birth through age 5
The Coalition's Consortium for Resilient Young Children is a peer network of early childhood behavioral health professionals and others, working together to promote and assist in coordinating a comprehensive pipeline of aligned programs and services throughout the region that are designed to promote the healthy social emotional development of young children. The Consortium also acts as a community of practice for these professionals to share expertise and resources.

- Awareness and Education: This includes promoting awareness to parents, teachers and caregivers about the importance
of social emotional development. In addition, consortium members will identify and inform educational opportunities for these same groups that strengthens their capacity to implement best practices and promote resilience in young
children. , - Screening and Assessment: A system of screening of young children for social emotional delays (this work is actually
coordinated through the Coalition's Screening Collaborative) - Treatment and Intervention: Diagnosis, treatment and interventions can have a significant impact on a child's social- emotional well being. Knowing where and how to access these services is essential for parents, teachers, health

- Evaluation. This includes recommendations to policy makers and others to build strong systems that promote resilient young childen.
