Resilient  Southern Illinois (SI) is an innovative  initiative of the Partnership for Resilience, the Illinois Education Association and 17 local school districts. In partnership with other agencies and community leaders, the focus of Resilient Southern Illinois is to build trauma-responsive, resilient schools and communities.

Across the country, Children’s cabinets/Councils  are  being convened  as forums for increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of government and community efforts to improve child and youth outcomes. The Coalition is working in partnership with Resilient SI to launch local Children's Cabinets/ Councils intwo separate communities in the southern Illinois region during 2022-2023
